All About Our Annual Performance

In News by Niki Flowers

We have tons of fun every year producing a Showcase in front of a live audience. Previous venues have included Brayton Hall, The Palms, The Shore Club and Graceway Sports Centre.

We are excited to announce this season’s performance will be held at Brayton Hall on March 29th and 30th, 2025. Brayton Hall has been refurbished and so we are delighted to return to the stage.

All students from the youngest to the eldest are given the opportunity to show the local community, as well as their friends and family how much they’ve learnt.

We pride ourselves on putting together a pretty professional production using lavish costumes from NYC.

All students, in all classes, learn a piece to perform in their classes during Term Two (January to March.) A Show Participation Fee will be added to your account. The Participation Fee covers the expense of:

  • Venue hire costs
  • One costume per student (these are provided to you for the performance but are returned to the studio afterwards. By keeping a store of costumes we are able to rotate costumes from time to time which keeps costs down. With the average costume costing $120 once landed in TCI we feel that this is the most sensible way to take on the expense of a show.)
  • A professional photographer
  • Two spectator tickets (Additional tickets are available at $10 per seat if required.)

Like last year, we are offering an Early Bird Rate of $150 per student if the fee is received before Christmas 2024. This will help us greatly with the early expenses of putting on a show, particularly when so much shipping and import duty is incurred with costumes that need to be ordered ahead of Christmas. The Deadline for payment after Christmas is February 1st but increases to $189.

Please note that if your child attends multiple classes per week then they will be performing multiple pieces and will therefore require multiple costumes. In this case there is an additional fee of $55 per additional costume.

Like any fees at PPAS you can pay by cash or local cheque at the studio, or our preferred payment method by bank transfer. We have an account with all three local banks for your convenience. If you pay by bank transfer please let us know by email so that we can reconcile your account.

The focus of the entire 12 weeks of Term Two is our performance, and so we ask that students not wishing to take part in the performance take a break from classes during term two.
