Dance Conditioning
What is it?
This weekly one hour session merges traditional and new techniques to provide the dancer with a better understanding of their bodies which will help them achieve better technique, longer extensions and truer lines.
We will spend time lengthening muscles and stretching as well as building strength and muscle memory. An important part of the training will be learning how to use the correct muscles at the correct time, in the safest and most effective way.
Class Level
Placements are generally defined by age, but some genres (ballet and tap in particular) take other things into consideration, such as technical ability and experience. Ultimately it is the teacher who decides the correct placement for a child. When selecting a class for the first time please be guided by the categories below but bare in mind the teacher may make recommendations after your child’s first class.
Mini Age Group 5 to 8 years old
